Bobcats,

The rest of the coaches and I are really excited to get on the field with you all this spring.

I’ve included some important updates and registration instructions below. Please review it all carefully and get started on registration ASAP.

Season Overview: Information on tryouts, practice times, equipment, game schedule, registration, and fees are available on the boy's team page.

Registration:

Booster Club Registration - Takes 10 minutes max. Please complete ASAP, as it helps us plan for the season and get team warm-up orders in. Click here to complete

SPPS Athletics Registration - Complete this with your school’s athletic office. We strongly recommend starting on this ASAP as it can take some time. You can use the following links to access your school’s registration: Central, Como Park, Harding, Highland Park, Humboldt//OWL, JohnsonWashington Tech

Pre-Season Opportunities:

TryLacrosse Event / Scrimmage - this Saturday, Feb 26, 9:00 - 10:30 am @ Conway Park:

Homegrown Lacrosse is offering a free try lacrosse event at the brand new Saneh Foundation Dome at Conway Park in St. Paul. Experienced players are encouraged to attend with their friends/prospective players. The session will include a short instruction led by members of the UST Men’s Lacrosse team followed by scrimmages. Gear will be provided for new players. Apologies for the short notice on this. Please take advantage if you can. You can register by clicking here.

Bobcats Traditional Lacrosse Game - next Saturday, March 5, 10:00 am - 12:00 p.m. @ Conway Park:

Bobcats Coach Shane Thompson (Seneca/Odawa) will be leading a traditional lacrosse game for all returning and prospective Bobcats. Huge thanks to the Saneh Foundation for donating the time and to Homegrown’s Director of Indigenous Initiatives for setting this us. Sticks will be provided. Participation is not required. To register please complete your Booster Registration and indicate that you plan to attend in the appropriate field. Please bring friends as this is a great introduction to lacrosse.

Pre-season training/practices: I am working with the Central Athletics staff on a final schedule for pre-season training. I hope to have more information next week. Participation in pre/off-season sessions is not required and will in no way impact your standing on the team.

That’s all for now. As always, please let me know if you have any questions or if there is anything else I can help with.

Sincerely,

Coach Lipkin
